Released 2006 as Leica's first digital M. 10.3MP Kodak CCD sensor in APS-H format (1.33x crop). Rangefinder focusing, M-mount compatibility, and mechanical shutter preserved the film M experience. Infrared sensitivity required UV/IR filters on lenses. Shutter limited to 1/8000s with no bulb mode.
