Leica's professional mirrorless system launched in 2015 with the SL (Typ 601). Built around the L-mount—shared with Panasonic and Sigma through the L-Mount Alliance—the SL line features weather-sealed aluminum bodies, class-leading electronic viewfinders, and advanced autofocus. The SL2 added a 47MP sensor and in-body stabilization. Current SL3 models offer 60MP resolution and 8K video capability. Native L-mount lenses deliver autofocus performance, while M-mount adapters maintain compatibility with Leica's rangefinder optics.
